We’re very excited to once again offer our Park Tool School classes! All classes are Sunday mornings, starting at 8:30 am and running to approximately 11:30 am. All classes will take place at our 1204 Bloor Street West location. There are currently 2 sessions planned, with a potential 3rd happening depending on demand. Registration is now open for the first two sessions. The cost per session (5 classes per session) is $350 + tax and each class is 2 hours in duration with a 30min question/free time at the end. The $350 fee will include the 4th-edition of Park Tool's Big Blue Book. Participants will also receive a 10% discount on any parts and tool purchases while enrolled. Also included is free storage for your bicycle if you'd prefer to keep it at the class room. All classes are taught at our Sweet Pete's Bloordale location.


Session 1: November 13, 20, 27, December 4, 11.
Session 2: January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5.
Session 3: Late February - March (dates TBD).

It is a requirement that all session participants are double vaccinated (all Sweet Pete’s staff are at least double vaccinated). Face masks/coverings are optional. Participants must be 16 or older to participate.

Class 1 Foundations of Bike Terminology, Basic Diagnostics and Safety Checks - Identifying what parts of the bike does what, shop equipment overview and safety checking.

Class 2 Tires, Tubes and Brakes - Get to know the ins of inner tubes, the outs of your tire questions and stop guessing about brakes. Get to know the many types of brake, their history and future, and learn how to properly adjust the brakes on your own bike.

Class 3 Drivetrain - Now that it stops, make it go! Learn about all the components of the drivetrain including chains, cassettes, cranksets and bottom brackets. Learn how to care for your drivetrain in all seasons, and how to install and remove all of the drivetrain components.

Class 4 Shifting Gears - Get to know the fundamentals of gear adjustment. From knowing and identifying shifters to replacing cables and housing like an expert, from adjusting derailleurs properly once they're installed to matching everything together, get the low down on how your gears come together.
