The brass bushings take the place of the 3 small cartridge bearings and aluminum washer that were on our original pedal assembly. Thin is in when it comes to pedals these days but most thin bodied pedals on the market are much too expensive for the average cyclist. When we set out to make our new Gates Slim pedal we wanted to build a pedal that offered all the advantages of the higher end thin bodied pedal that you could buy without having to fork out over half your paycheck to bring a set home. The Gates Slim combines the best of our popular Gates BMX platform pedal and our thin bodied/sealed bearing Mesa plaform pedal into a durable and affordable package. Cr-Mo spindle, rebuildable loose ball bearings, impact grade nylon and a super thin profile should make the Gates Slim an easy choice for your next pedal. The Gates Slim pedals are ideal for any commuter/city build but is also great for BMX riders looking for a durable, thin and affordable plaform pedal. Oh yeah, they're also compatible with pedal straps making them great for the daily commute as well.

Look's Keo Grip Cleats feature special anti-slip surfaces on the bottom that improve traction while walking. They are also made of polyamide nylon for easy entry/exit, efficient pedaling and durability. And, there are wear indicators that tell you when it's time for new cleats. These cleats are available with three different amounts of lateral float: 4.5-degree (gray), 9-degrees (red), and fixed float (black).

Get all the features of our Composite Pedal in a shape that works better for smaller feet. We recommend the Small Pedal for riders with a shoe size up to US 6.5 US (M), 8 US (W), 6 US (Kids), and 38 EU. The platform size is 97.5mm x 92mm compared to the Composite Pedal which is 115mm x 105mm. The Small Pedals have 7 steel pins per side and come with our new Friendly Pins installed. The Friendly Pin is an aluminum nut that covers a regular threaded pedal pin. These are the same pins found on our full size composite pedals. If you want more grip you can replace the long Friendly Pin nut with the shorter nut supplied in the box. The shorter nut leaves the aggressive pin exposed. Get pedals that fit your feet!
