Light enough for XC and powerful enough for freeriders, Avid's Elixir CR provides world-class control and power. Avid's Taperbore technology and Power Reserve Geometry deliver great modulation and pinpoint stops. Increased power comes courtesy of a super-stiff, 2-piece caliper that contains larger pistons and DOT 5.1 fluid for better heat resistance to prevent brake fade. This fine stopper also uses a tool-free, in-line pad contact adjustment that allows you to adjust where the pads contact the rotor and balance both levers so the pads engage in the same spot. Plus, the Elixir's unique integrated, in-line reservoir provides a major weight reduction and a sleek look. It even comes complete with Avid's Clean Sweep rotor.
