I have these lights for all my bikes

By

from Seattle

About Me

Pros

  • very sturdy
  • multiple settings
  • great mount
  • long lasting
  • bright

Cons

  • on highest setting, only lasts about 2 hours

Best Uses

  • Nighttime and daytime riding, MTB, road riding

Comments:

I've been using the Ion 700 lights for about 3 years now. It's far and away the best deal on the market for a nice bright light. The mount is easy to adjust based on your handlebar width, and can be rotated up and down or side to side. The mount goes on easily and comes off "easily" (but not accidentally). The light in its highest setting is very bright, and the 2 different blink options are great for daytime riding.

Great light, mount sucks

By

from San Diego

About Me

Comments:

I like the light but I hate rattles on my bike. I had to super glue the mount, so now I cannot rotate it, and tighten the hell out of the screw to stop the rattle. /the rubber in the mount still allows the light to move around when hitting a bump which is distracting if mountain biking at night.

Light will no longer turn off

By

from Victoria, BC Canada

About Me

Pros

  • Range Of Brightnes
  • Light And Small

Cons

  • Difficult To Turn On Off
  • Stopped Working 14 Mos

Best Uses

Comments:

I have to apply a lot of pressure to turn it on and off- this could not be done while riding. I have to stop and sometimes use both hands to apply pressure. My friends was like that too.

Great headlight --- Short life

By

from Jacksonville, FL

About Me

Pros

  • Good Intensity Light

Cons

  • Quit Working After 3 Mo

Best Uses

Comments:

Very disappointed. Worked great for few months and then, for apparently no reason, quit working. I am unable to recharge it. Look for some other brands and don't get attracted by the relative competitive price.

Visibility at it's finest

By

from Delaware, OH

About Me

Comments:

Received this for my birthday in August with the Flare R taillight and have used it on every ride. The strobe function works wonders on daylight rides for visibility. My daughter said I was visible almost two miles away.

2

Great light, terrible mount

By

from santa barbara

About Me

Pros

  • Feels solid
  • Bright
  • Well built

Cons

  • Unreliable Mount

Best Uses

  • Handheld Flashlight

Comments:

This light is beautifully crafted and well made with the a critically horrible flaw. It falls off its mount. Ive had real bad luck with this light. The first one was DOA. wouldnt turn on at all. The second one which was a warranty replacement fell off the mount so I got a loner from the store while I waited for a second warranty to go through. The loner- on the same mount- fell off as well. So here I am with my warrantee through, riding with what is otherwise a great light, with a rubberband strapped around it just in case it falls off again. BTW, this mount is brand new. I bought it with the light.

This light is fantastic. Super bright, lights up the path like a car headlight. What a bargain too compared with lights with same or higher lumens. I'm thinking about getting one for my helmet too!
